September 2024
Linda Goldberg (San Jose) is the chair for 2024-2025 fiscal year. This meeting discussed the ISPF at length and Virginia explained the details of how it operates. We shared our calendars for library and travel programs. Virginia would like to hand over this responsibility next year, and since have and interest in ISPF, we need to supply a representative.

Our Inter-branch Council is sponsoring a program about Brain Health. This will be held in person and on zoom. For more information, please see the flyer.
May 2023
The Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors approved the adoption of CDEAW principles.
Claire Noonan will chair the IBC for 2023 – 2024. Secretary of IBC is open.
March 2023
CEDAW (Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women)
The CEDAW principles are similar to the Equal Rights Amendment principles, but they are part of an international treaty developed by the UN General Assembly. AAUW is supporting the effort to make California the second state to adopt these principles. (Kentucky was the first). The bill now working its way through the California legislature is Skinner AB 549.
